In Almost a Year...
• 80% of Facilities Planning (FP) has been finished.
-- enough to call "office" for 100% of our full-time Facilities Planners (Bill Daniel, & Will Danielson (No relation)).
• 100% of Computer Services (CS) was moved in [to FP, temporarily] (James Wood-Mgr., Dan Harding, Tim Meadows, & Tim Roden)... and 75% have moved out (all except Jim W.), and into their office space - w/ donated cubicles assembled by 50% of CS (Tim H., & Dan).

(Previously Doug's area & Sound Studio: combined)
• The (not so) Clean Room has been built, converted into a Chapel, and moved into by 50% of Graphic Services (GS) (Doug Shively, & myself - Joel Kreider). Larry Wiklund has moved out of FP into his cubicle (also assembled by 50% of CS). Click to enlarge pics

(Previously the Old Chapel Area, and Clothes Closet: combined)

(Previously the entire CS Dept. and the old UPS Room: combined)
• The slab for the New Addition was formed and poured by David Hastie and crew (the only ones brave enough to try all the curves).

• Sidewalks, and Curbing formed and poured (as I write/type).

Weeks 8-11 (Mar. 17- Apr. 4)
Here's a smattering...
The Glass for FP Finally Arrived!
And Some Ken Seldon Art...

The New Construction Guard: Overseeing the construction of the new Front Entry Walkway...

5" Drainage pipe installed... which had to be run in between the existing 2" water pipe and Network/ Cable pipe running to the RV Park. This isn't ideal, but could have turned out to be an extreme amount of work... it ended up that it was level, right between the two, and was able to be slipped in between w/o having to elbow the water pipe over the drain.

March 7
*Edit*: Please check the story added to the middle of the March 6th entry. I know it may be a little uncouth, and more than a little confusing to advise you of an update to an update, –and that, a day prior to this one– though, both of them being updates to their respective dates, were in fact, "updated" as it were, today. But believe me, it's worth it. -Joel K.

Week 6 March 3-7
Mar 3-5: Library Shelving Assembled, Books Organized, Carpet Removed.
Mar 6: Carpet Adhesive Removed, Laminate Flooring Installed
10:30am [North side, facing West (WNW actually, but you get the idea)]
3:17pm: N side, facing NE
5:00pm: N side, facing W
10:30am: West sieede, facing SSW
Because the Carpet Adhesive couldn't make amends w/ the Vinyl Planking Adhesive, it was decided that the Carpet Adhesive should graciously yield to the incumbent flooring, seeing as the travel expenses had already been spent. All seemed well until CA received what appeared to be a very nasty email from VPA, which actually turned out to have been sent by the Old Armsrtong Vinyl from the bathrooms down the hall ('cause OAV was being asked to leave also). So both OAV, and the mistaken CA, dug in thier heels and were forced to leave under duress w/ solvents and heavy sharp metal objects. Since CA was spread over such a wide area, it was less fortified in its efforts to defend its territory, but still required extra man hours, and the purchase of industrial adhesive removers; OAV, because of its compact area proved to be a bit more formidable, and proceeded to "just [make] a general mess of things". Needless to say, these actions necessitated the revocation of both CA & OAV's equity accounts, and lease deposits. The emotionally grieved VA, has been compensated by the waiving of any entrance, or lisenceing fees, and will not be charged room & board.
In good faith, VPA has decided to send letters of contact to both CA & OAV in attempt at resolving any matters of dissent, to which no response has been forthcoming as of yet. We hope each party can reconcile any and all misunderstandings in a timely, and Christian manner. We also appreciate your concern in this matter. -Ed.
